Washington Small Business Development Center: Random Social Thoughts

Random Social Thoughts

Oct 28, 07:10 AM

It’s hard to believe it’s been three weeks since my last post. So much has happened since then that I haven’t had much time to check around to find something new and fun to talk about. With that in mind, here are a few random things I’ve encountered lately…ymmv :)

Inc. Magazine has a number of pretty good articles this month centering around technology and the web which includes some newer tech and an interview with the founder of Digg and Pownce, two great social networking sights.

It seems the social media revolution is continuing to run full ahead. A UK blog is now tracking the social networks most prominently used in each country around the world and displaying them on a map with monthly “Risk” like moves. The map and site can be found here. The site also has links to the most popular Social Network sites. While looking around, I also started finding Social Networks that are targeting groups of like-minded people, such as WeCanDo.Biz, a social network for small and medium-sized business owners, managers, salesmen, etc.

Disclaimer: The Washington Small Business Development Center does not endorse or advertise for any of the above named organizations, sites or businesses.
